Les Voiles de Saint Tropez 2022

For the last fifty years, the sailing world has witnessed and ever growing amount of restorations of old yachts. Both owners and captains were equally involved to save the old art of sailing these classic rigging and hand it over the new generations of sailors. experiencing the pleasure of reviving the most beautiful survivors of the golden age of yachting. These extraordinary vessels are adored by the public thanks to their ability to bring us way back to a by-gone era.

Les Voiles de Saint Tropez has been a superlative way to close the Schooner season in the Mediterranean Sea. Seven Schooners have  lined-up on the starting line to compete for the Rolex Trophy, some of which boast an overall length in excess of 50 metres, including Elena of London and Shenandoah of Sark. Other Schooners attending have been Naema, Puritan, Ashanti IV, Orianda and Viveka. Almost two hundred sailors were up on deck helping on the manoeuvres, so many are the people needed to handle and hoist the immense sail-area of these powerful vessels.
